I spent the day shooting in Detroit, and I like the results and am very excited about sharing the pictures. I should have it up by Wednesday at 12:00 a.m., which is the earliest I can!
As for Detroit, god, it is very depressing. The city looks like it has gone through some major trauma. There are a lot of broken and sad things. I went to Cork Town, I read somewhere it was an up and coming trendy place, but it looked more like what Detroit could not accomplish. There were some new shops and many recently closed ones, there are signs of an attempt to revitalize the area but it looks like the long recession trampled that hope.
My project on Wednesday deals with forgotten metal, but until then here are a couple of pictures of Cork Town.
